As of March 17th, 2008 Dr. Tetsuya Okamura of Sumitomo Heavy Industries will join the management board of Demag Plastics Group. Together with Demag’s CFO Mr. Uwe Rohfleisch, Dr. Okamura will represent the company and advance the integration of both companies.

Dr. Klaus F. Erkes, CEO of Demag Plastics Group will leave the company on March 15th, 2008.

“The merger of Sumitomo and Demag is the right decision and an important milestone for the consolidation in the injection moulding industry which has been long overdue“, says Dr. Erkes.
